Make a positive difference! 

We are now accepting nominations for the

2012-13 Meadows School PTSA Executive Board.

Become a part of a group of positive people making decisions that affect the educational experience of Meadows Elementary.  We are currently accepting nominations for the following PTSA positions.

Elections held at the PTSA Association Meeting on March 15, 2012.

President: The president shall coordinate the work of officers and committees of the association; preside at all meetings of the association and the executive board; represent the association at council and district president meetings.

Executive Vice President:  The Executive VP provides assistance to the president and coordinates the launch of committees each year. This person is the committee chairperson liaison.

1st VP, Ways and Means: The 1st VP shall coordinate the fundraising programs.  There are usually two to three main fundraising programs per year.

2nd VP, Programs: The 2nd VP recommends and coordinates programs for school and grade level assemblies. This also includes overseeing the Reflections Program.

Treasurer: The treasurer shall keep permanent books of account and records; prepare the budget (with assistance from the board); receive all monies from the financial secretary for the association; prepare a treasurer’s report for all meetings and pay all bills.

Financial Secretary: The financial secretary shall give a receipt for all monies received for the association and remit to the treasurer or deposit in the bank.  The financial secretary should be available to receive and track money during PTSA functions where money is handled.

Recording Secretary: The recording secretary shall keep an accurate record of the proceedings of all meetings of the association and executive board and be prepared to refer to minutes of past meetings to keep track of unfinished business.

Auditor: The auditor shall audit the books and financial records of the association semiannually.

Historian: The historian shall assemble and preserve a record of the activities, achievements and volunteer hours of the association (a scrapbook of the year’s events.)

The details of each executive board office, as written in the bylaws, are available upon request.  Each officer is expected to attend one monthly executive board meeting and one monthly association meeting in addition to his/her responsibilities of office.  If you have further questions, contact the nominating committee by emailing:
